In Uttar Pradesh, the Governor Mr. BL Joshi has accepted the resignation of the Minister of State for Revenue and Rehabilitation Mr. Vinod Singh alias Pandit Singh. He had today tendered his resignation following his alleged involvement in the abduction of the Gonda district Chief Medical Officer CMO Dr. SP Singh.Demanding a free and fair probe into the abduction case, the outgoing Minister said that it was conspiracy against him by his opponents to tarnish his and ruling party image.AIR correspondent reports that a two member high level committee has been set up by the government to inquire into the incident. Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mr. Ahmad Hassan has asked the committee led by Additional Director Health to submit its report.
