Uttar Pradesh Governor B L Joshi has accepted resignation of Animal Husbandry Development Minister Awadhpal Singh Yadav. He had resigned from Mayawati cabinet following suggestion of the State Lokayukta to Chief Minister for sacking him over corruption and criminal charges. Senior cabinet minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui has been given additional charge of the Animal Husbandry department. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that all major parties have termed his resignation as a political gimmick. They have demanded that an FIR should be lodged against the accused Minister.
