In Uttar Pradesh, the Special Investigation Bureau of Co-operative Cell of state police has interrogated the former higher education minister Rakesh Dhar Tripathi, a BSP MLC and a former Managing Director of Labour and Construction Co-operative Federation in connection with alleged multi-crore rupees fraud in the federation.Quoting official sources our Allahabad correspondent reports that the former minister has submitted his reply in writing denying charges against him but all the other three were interrogated by the Investigation Team in the alleged release of 40 crore rupees to the Federation from Higher Education Department for construction and renovation of various school buildings during 2010-2011.The Bureau also proceeded to take property attachment orders of former MD of the Federation, BP Singh, former chairman Sushil Katiyar and PRO Praveen Singh who are said to be absconding.A case of alleged financial irregularities has already been registered by the Lucknow police.
