In Uttar Pradesh a FIR has been lodged against Congress nominee Union Minister Beni Prasad Verma for violation of model code of conduct and making derogatory remarks against BJP leaders . It has been lodged at Sadullapur police station in Balrampur district.
The Returning officer of Gonda constituency Vikas Gothalwal told our correspondent that it has been lodged in connection with Beni. The Bharatiya Janata Party has lodged its complaints to the Election Commission against Union Minister Beni`s alleged derogatory remarks against BJP leader Rajnath Singh.
Our correspondent reports that the BJP has lodged complaint against Beni Prasad Verma and Uttar Pradesh State Government`s senior Minister Azam Khan for their alleged derogatory remarks against its leaders Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh.
The BJP in its complaint has demanded to the Commission for ban on both the leaders for their participation in electioneering for violation of model code of conduct and derogatory remarks.
BJP has said that Azam Khan has made derogatory remarks against Narendra Modi while addressing a public meeting on April 1 in Rampur and on the same day Beni Prasad Verma at Balrampur and Gonda have made derogatory remarks against BJP`s National President Rajnath Singh.
Seeking stringent action against both the leaders BJP has said that Verma has been habitual for making such remarks and party has lodged its complaints earlier against him.
