The stage is set for fifth phase polls tomorrow. About One crore and 56 lakh voters will decide the fate of 829 candidates in 49 constituencies spread over in 13 districts of central U.P, Budelkhand and parts of western U.P. Polling parties have also reached their destinations and security forces have already been deployed in the election areas. polling will start 7 a.m. tomorrow. Meanwhile repolling held at a booth in Tiloi constituency area of Chatrapatishahu ji maharaj nagar today. The repoll was held due to technical problem in EVM in the polling booth. Election commission has made elaborate arrangements for tomorrow’s poll. More than seventeen thousand polling station have been made and 28 thousand 173 balloting unit of EVMs will be used during poll. The prominent candidates are in this phase are former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti from Charkhari in Mahoba, Samajwadi party leader in UP Assembly Shivpal Singh Yadav from jaswant nagar seat in Etawah district, State BSP chief Swami Prasad Murya’s daughter Sanghmitra Maurya from Aliganj seat in Etah district .Ex BSP Minister Badshah Singh is now contesting on BJP ticket from Mahoba and ex ministers Premlata Katiyar and Satydev Tripathi are also among prominent candidates. The Budelkhand congress also contesting from more than a dozen seats in Bundelkahd region. The Bundelkhand Congress leader and film actor Raja Bundela is also testing his fate from Jhansi seat.The thirteen districts are going to cover in fifth phase are Firozabad, Knashiramnagar, Etah, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auriya, Ramabai Nagar, Kanpur Nagar, Jalaun,Jhansi, Laitpur, Hamirpur and Mahoba. Meanwhile the leaders of all major political parties today addressed several public meetings in western UP districts where elections are going to be held in last two phase. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed meetings in Muzaffarnagar, Muradabad and in Aligarh while BJP president addressed meetings in Bareilly and Shahjhanpur districts .SP leader Akhilesh Yadav also addressed public gathering in different places. The sixth phase election will be held on 28 February in thirteen districts of Saharanpur, Meerut, Aligarh and Agra divisions.
