In Uttar Pradesh, 10 more patients have succumbed to encephalitis during the past four days in the eastern districts. With this, the total death toll in the region this year has mounted to 488. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent quoting official sources reports that 288 encephalitis patients are being treated at BRD Medical College Hospital and seven other government hospitals of Gorakhpur and Basti divisions.
