The Uttar Pradesh Government had disbanded the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Committees in the state and formed new committees under the Chairmanship of District Magistrates. The new committees comprise District Magistrate as chairman, Senior Superintendent of police or Superintendent of Police as Vice-Chairman.The SPCA runs animal hospital and shelter home at sector 94 of Noida. Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate Deepak Aggarwal has been appointed as Chairman of the Noida's SPCA.
