In Uttar Pradesh 16 policemen including 4 sub inspectors and 12 constables have been convicted for killing two students in fake encounter in naxal hit Sonbhadra district. Fast Track Court of the district awarded policemen life imprisonment in its judgment on Monday. <br/><br/>Two youths were killed in the forest area of Runtola of the district in the year of 2003 in an alleged police encounter for their alleged involvement in loot incident of a bus under Pipri police station. On the complaints of guardians of killed students matter was handed over to CB, CID of state police for investigation of encounter and a FIR was lodged in the year 2006 as encounter was found to be fake in the enquiry. Two policemen are still absconding.
