In Uttar Pradesh, an excise inspector has been suspended in the connection with spurious liquor case in Mirzapur. Eight people had died after consumption of spurious liquor in four villages of Mirzapur district on Friday. Six people involved in manufacture and sale of illicit liquor have been arrested by the police. The joint excise commissioner of Varanasi division is inquiring into the incident.
