In Uttar Pradesh Congress has made a fresh demand for CBI inquiry into the incident of arson at the residence of Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Party’s state unit President at Lucknow two years back. Raising questions over the meeting senior cabinet ministers had with the arrested BSP MLA Jitendra Singh Babloo and another leader Intezar Ahmad Abdi, in connection with arson, spokesperson of the state congress said from the facilities being provided to jailed leaders inside the jail and their meeting with senior ministers is clear indication that their arrest was managed under some pressure. UP Congress president Rita Bahuguna Joshi has demanded that the state government should clarify that under which rule ministers were allowed to meet the two jailed leaders. She demanded that stern action should be taken against those violating the jail manual.
