The Uttar Pradesh government has cancelled the Combined Pre Medical Test, UPCPMT, scheduled for today. A government spokesperson said in Lucknow that the UPCMPT exam to have been held this morning was cancelled as the seals of some packets containing questions papers were found tampered in Ghaziabad.

He said in view of this the government decided to cancel the exam all over the state. The spokesperson said that fresh dates for UPCPMT exam will be announced later. Our Lucknow correspondent reports that several lakh candidates appearing for the UPCPMT exam had already reached their centres across the state.
