The Uttar Pradesh government is today organising a mega event in the national capital Delhi to attract major investments in the state. The government expects to garner at least Rs 20,000 crore of investment at its Investors' Conclave in Delhi, with several leading corporate groups and the American Chambers of Commerce in India (AMCHAM) having confirmed participation of 20 top US companies.Chief secretary Alok Ranjan said 150-odd companies, including top names likes Philips, ITC, HCL, HPCL have given their approval for attending the conclave along with representatives of seven embassies.AIR correspondent reports that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav along with all his senior officers has already reached Delhi to make the event a success.
