In Uttar Pradesh the budget session of the State Legislature begins on Friday. The session opens with address of Governor B L Joshi to a joint session of both the houses Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that budgetary grants for the year 2011-12 will be tabled in the assembly on February 8. The House will approve state budget and pass a resolution on thanks to the Governor's address. It is expected that session likely to be very stormy with the Opposition having announced its intention to take the Mayawati government to task on a number of issues including price rise, corruption, misuse of government funds and criminal activities of the BSP leaders.
