UP Board class X and XII papers missing: police

Despite the claims of the state government that the UP Board exams will be conducted smoothly the examination paper for class X and XII boards were found missing on Sunday from a locker of an intermediate college in Bulandshahr district. The senior superintended of police Naresh Kumar told AIR Allahabad correspondent today that the question papers went missing from Haidar inter college, under jahagirabad Kotwali area in bulunadshar district. The police official told AIR correspondent that investigations are on and four persons, including the Principal of the college, one clerk and two security guards, have been detained for questioning but no formal arrest have been made till the report last came in.<br/>The board sources said that 31 question papers of different subjects of High school and Intermediated are missing. Total eleven districts have got affected due to this. <br/>However the secretary of UP Board Prabha Tripathi told that exam would be held as per schedule and the new set of question papers were being provided to the affected centers. The district inspector of school of Bulandshahr has been shifted and his charge has been given to a Associate DIOS of Bulandshahr, the UP Board secretary said. The regional secretary of UP board has also been asked to inquire the case. The exam centre from Haidar inter college has been shifted to another local college the board official said .The exams are scheduled to begin on 4th of March.<br/>
