In Uttar Pradesh the Bharatiya Janata Party observed State Bandh today protesting against the police lathi Charge on party workers at Lucknow on 24th of last month during its demonstration. <br/><br/>AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that BJP call has received mixed response although due to Holi celebration in most of the town commercial establishments and school colleges are already closed. Adequate security arrangements are in place to maintain law and order.<br/><br/>In Gorakhpur district party MP Yogi Aditya Nath and MLA Dr. Radha Mohan Das Agrawal moved on the roads and streets in favour of party call. <br/><br/>As per reports available in different districts senior party leaders have appealed people to close their shops and organisations to make success the party call. <br/><br/>State unit of BJP has deputed its senior leaders at different district for mobilisation of common men against the alleged undemocratic attitude of state government towards its political opponents. <br/><br/>Police had used force against party leaders and workers on 24th of last month when they were tried to proceed towards Vidhan Bhawan. <br/><br/>It was alleged that several senior party leaders including former national president MP Raj Nath Singh, Mukhtar Abbas Naquvi and Dr. Ramapati Ram Tripathi were also injured. <br/>
