UP: BJP expells its MLA Jai Pratap Singh for anti-party activities

In Uttar Pradesh the Bharatiya Janata Party today expelled its sitting MLA Jai Pratap Singh from the party for six years. He has been acussed of indulging in anti party activities. His wife Rani Basundhara has been declared as congress nominee from Domeriaganj constituency against BJP niminee Jagdambika Pal. Our correspondent reports that Mr singh is seven time party MLA from Basi assembly constituency in Sidharthnagar district. He was seeking party ticket for lok sabha polls. He had openly opposed the nomination of former congress leader Jagdambika Pal as BJP candidate.
