In Uttar Pradesh both the houses of State legislature has been adjourned sine die amidst noisy scenes by the Opposition members.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that amid strong protest from entire opposition resolution for division of the state in four new states has been passed with voice vote. It was moved by the Chief Minister Mayawati in the Assembly although it was mentioned in the agenda. Samajwadi Party members demanded dismissal of BSP government alleging being it in minority and corrupt government.Cross the party line opposition members trooped into the well, while SP MLAs raised slogans and displayed placards demanding dismissal of the BSP government immediately after the proceedings of the house started following which Speaker Sukhdeo Rajbhar adjourned the house during question hour.When house was met for second time within 16 minutes of proceedings vote on account for four months for next financial year, resolution of division and another amendment were passed without any discussion and amendments were passed.Most of the opposition parties including Samajwadi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress have strongly protested against the division resolution and the way it was passed. Delegations from SP and BJP met the Governor separately and handed over memorandums to him seeking quashing of today's proceedings. They have also demanded that both the houses should be reconvened.Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mayawati has claimed that the decision on bringing the resolution to split the state was taken under compulsion. She has also denied the allegations of opposition parties terming the resolution as a political stunt. She has said that her government would not recommend for dissolution of the Assembly.Talking to media persons at Lucknow after adjournment of the house, she said that opposition was responsible for early adjournment of the house. She also refuted the allegation of running a minority government.
