In Uttar Pradesh, forthcoming assembly elections in 7 phases will be the first assembly polls after delimitation. Of the total 403 assembly constituencies, 163 are new. AIR correspondent reports, the candidates will have to face a new set of voters in over 40% of the assembly constituencies.Almost every district of the state had to go through the change. The Final voters list is to be published on 2nd of next month. The Chief Electoral officer of the state has said that total number of electorates has increased to 12 crore 58 lakhs. He said, about 1 lakh 28 thousand 112 polling booths will be set up for casting of votes.
