In Uttar Pradesh at least 8 persons have been killed and more than 12 injured in an accident last night in Azamgarh district.Quoting police our Lucknow correspondent reports the accident occurred when a high speed vehicle crushed the people gathered to attend a function at Kaudia Bazar village under Kaptanganj police station of the district.Eight persons died on the spot. Injured have been rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Some of them are stated in serious condition.
