In Uttar Pradesh the Election Commission has said that no outsider will be allowed to continue in poll bound constituencies after ending of campaigning.
The Commission has said it will also be responsibility of the candidates and their parties to ask their supporters and leaders engaged in electioneering to leave the segments immediately if they are not voters from the concerned constituency.
The Commission has directed the poll authorities and law enforcing agencies to intensify checking of hotels, rest houses, lodges and Dharmshalas to vacate outsiders from the constituencies.
After visiting Moradabad and Rampur constituencies, AIR Correspondent reports that all preparations for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections for 11 constituencies from Ruhelkhand and Terai regions of the state have been completed.
Polling parties will be rushing to their respective polling stations today while security forces have already reached poll bound areas.
A total of 150 candidates including 17 women are in the fray in this phase of polls. Maximum 18 candidates are in the fray in Moradabad constituency and minimum 11 are contesting in Kheri constituency.
BJP, BSP, SP and Aam Aadmi Party AAP have fielded their nominees in all 11 constituencies and Congress has left three seats of Nagina, Amroha and Badaun to its allies Rashtriya Lok Dal and Mahan Dal.
Above 1 crore 85 lakhs voters will exercise their franchise in this phase and about 18900 polling booths are being set up.
Electoral fate of several heavy weights is on stake in this phase of elections. They include senior Congress leader Noor Bano, former minister Saleem Iqbal Shervani, MP Praveen Singh Aaron, senior BJP leaders Maneka Gandhi, and Santosh Gangwar, Sitting SP MPs Dharmendra Yadav and Mithilesh Kumar.
