UP 1st phase poll: 15% votes polled in Muzaffarnagar in 1st two hours

In Uttar Pradesh, in the first two hours of polling, around 15% votes have been polled in Muzaffarnagar. Serpentine queues were seen at almost all the polling booths of the Muzaffarnagar city, Purkazi reserved seat, Meerapur and Khatauli Vidhan Sabha seats. At most of the places in city and the booths of adjacent villages, people started gathering before 6.30 in the morning. <br/><br/>Impeccable security arrangements are in place with heavy deployment of cpmf. The local police and security staff are maintaining strict vigil on the roads. The polling is going on a brisk note and in a very peaceful manner in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli as no untoward incident reported from anywhere till now. At some places, EVMs developed technical snag causing disruption but were resolved later.
