<span style="color: #222222;">Hill people of Mizoram are witnessing an unprecedented momentum in the pace of building road connectivity. Many roadways construction are underway with speed and pace by Public Works Department, National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) and Border Roads Task Force (BRTF). Last year, 14 rural habitations were connected by new roads of 210 Km length, constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Officials said, the construction of National Highway 502A is being executed under the Act East Policy to establish road and trade links between India and Myanmar. Chief Engineer of national highways of PWD, Mizoram C. With this, the time to reach Aizawl has been reduced to three hours, which earlier used to take 5 hours.
