The Minister of State for External Affairs, Mr. Shashi Throor has said that the United Nations Organisations, UNO, is still relevant particularly in the new global order. Delivering the key note address at a symposium on the role of United Nations in a changing world in Kolkata today,Mr.Throor said that the world has become a global village and more integrated. UN has special and crucial role to play in the new world order. He said that while globalisation has brought the world to the finger to the common man . Problems like terrorism, climate change and epidemic diseases have also come in. He said that these subjects alongwith human rights need urgent attention of the UN.
