A United National Liberation Front militant named Oinam Anand has been arrested and a five kg bomb was recovered from his possession at Nambol in Manipur's Bishenpur district late on Friday. Official sources said security measures have been tightened in the state in view of the boycott call by the UNLF, Manipur People's Liberation Front and other insurgent organisations. These organisations have been boycotting Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations in the state for a number of years.
