Uttar Pradesh government has announced that the teaching at newly set up University of Urdu, Arabic and Farsi in Lucknow will begin from July next year. Addressing a function at Lucknow, Higher Education Minister Rakesh Dhar Tripathi said that apart from the three languages, the university will also impart teaching in other relevant contemporary subjects including Computer Science, Biotechnology, other languages, Law, Management, Bio- Informatics and Journalism etc. The Minister said, 170 crores rupees have been sanctioned to complete the construction work for the university. He added that the funds have been increased so that the construction process gets completed within this year.Meanwhile, Executive Council of the University has been set up consisting 19 members from the field of academics and social service.
