University of Ladakh students and the faculty virtually participated in the University Connect, Engaging Young Minds programme on the occasion of India assuming the presidency of G 20 nations. The programme has been organized by the Research and Information System for Developing Countries and the Ministry of External Affairs.<br />''<br />''After the event, speaking to All India Radio, University of Ladakh Vice Chancellor Prof. SK Mehta said climate change and biodiversity are among the key subjects that G 20 discusses. He added, these are also relevant topics in Ladakh context and to the world as well. He said the University has begun a special cell on climate change, also started a mountain research institute and has been organizing various programmes on these subjects.<br />''<br />''Prof Mehta said that the new Union Territory Ladakh will also push its rich Heritage for better visibility.
