University of Ladakh students and the faculty virtually participated in the University Connect, Engaging Young Minds programme on the occasion of India assuming the presidency of G 20 nations. The programme has been organized by the Research and Information System for Developing Countries and the Ministry of External Affairs.<br />''<br />''After the event, speaking to All India Radio, University of Ladakh Vice Chancellor Prof. SK Mehta said climate change and biodiversity are among the key subjects that G 20 discusses. He added, these are also relevant topics in Ladakh context and to the world as well. He said the University has begun a special cell on climate change, also started a mountain research institute and has been organizing various programmes on these subjects.<br />''<br />''Prof Mehta said that the new Union Territory Ladakh will also push its rich Heritage for better visibility. He said, University students are looking forward to taking part in G20 events and programmes in the coming days.
