The programme will be chaired by the Steel Minister Ram Chandra Prasad Singh.<br />''<br />''The Steel Ministry has instituted the National Metallurgist Award after extensive deliberations with Ministry of Home Affairs regarding rationalisation of the awards in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  The process of submissions of applications or nominations for the National Metallurgist Award 2021 was initiated during August to September last year.<br />''<br />''Based on the evaluation of the applications or nominations by the screening and selection committees and the average marks obtained by the applicants,  the awardees under the categories like Lifetime Achievement Award, National Metallurgist Award, Award for Research and Development in Iron and Steel Sector and Young Metallurgist Award were finalised.</span><br />
