Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju assures elite athletes training to be resumed

<span style='font-family: "arial", "sans-serif";'>Union Sports minister Kiren Rijiju today assured  elite athletes trainingwill be resumed.  Mr Rijiju said, concrete decision possible only afterconsultation with MHA and drawing up SOP of on-field norms. He soughtsuggestions from elite athletes of athletics housed in Sports Authority ofIndia's National Center of Excellence in Patiala and Bangalore to understandtheir requirement to resume training once the nation-wide lockdown is lifted.The Sports Minister spoke to more than 40 athletes from various disciplines,among them Hima Das, Neeraj Chopra, Tajinder Toor, Kt Irfan, Shivpal Singh,Poovamma, Jinson Johnson, Md.
