Union Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan on Saturday asked scientists to connect their research with the common man and bring out good quality solutions to their problems.<br/><br/>Speaking to reporters after dedicating the newly set up Medical Biotechnology Complex of the Hyderabad based Centre for Cellular Molecular Biology (CCMB), Annex – II to the nation, the minister said all the government programmes like Swachh Bharat and Smart Cities are aimed at fulfilling basic needs of the majority of people.<br/><br/>He called upon the scientific community to take the fruits of scientific research to the masses.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Minister of state for Science and Technology Y.S. Chowdhary highlighted the need for taking up contract research by optimizing the state of the art research equipment being procured at different central research institutions. <br/><br/>Union Labour Minister Dattatreya and several public representatives attended.<br/><br/>The CCMB Annex -II has been set up with three laboratories include Clinical Research Facility, Nanobiology Laboratory and Common Research and Technology Hub – CRTDH with the state of the art technologies like stem cell research and tissue culture facilities and chromosomal diagnostic services besides clinical trials.<br/><br/>Entrepreneurs can utilize the facilities for developing their innovative products.
