<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L.Murugan today inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Infrastructure summit at Chennai. Delivering the keynote address, the Minister said that infrastructure development is essential for the Country's economic growth. He said, India is bound to become the third largest economy in the World. He said that the Narendra Modi led Government has transformed the concept of development making it highly competitive in the globe. Talking about socio infrastructure, Mr Murugan said that the Government had allocated One hundred lakh crore rupees for Prime Minister's Gati Shakthi scheme with the objective of achieving global infrastructure in the Country. The Minister said, 17 departments of the Government function under a single umbrella to enable effective implementation of the schemes. He said that the amalgamation was to ensure development for Amrit Kaal. The Minister said, 12 crore houses have been provided with water connection and in Tamilnadu alone one lakh tap connections were given.<br />''<br />''Later talking to the media, he accused the DMK Government for deterioration of law and order. He said that cases are being framed against the Opposition parties. He said that the Government was not cooperating for implementing development schemes of the Union Government.<br />''<br />''The Tamilnadu Infrastructure Summit with a theme on building infrastructure for a trillion dollar economy is organised by the CII Chennai Chapter. The discussions will be on the role of the Government towards future ready infrastructure in the State, transformational strategies for successful data Centre in the State, Role of green energy in infrastructure and blue print for urban clusters.</span><br />
