Union Minister of State for Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste on Friday (1st December 2023) inaugurated the Saras Food Festival-2023 at Connaught Place in New Delhi. The food festival has been organised under the flagship program 'National Rural Livelihoods Mission' of the Rural Development Ministry and it will continue till 17th of this month.<br />'' <br />''About 160 women entrepreneurs and members of self-help groups from 21 States are participating in this event which gives them an opportunity to showcase their skills in the field of food making and introduce people to the food culture of the country. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kulaste said that the Saras Food Festival is a unique example of women's empowerment and the vision of the government is to select at least one product made by the women self helf group from each of the district and to provide the falicites of packaging and marketing.<br />'' Mr Kulaste also visited various food stalls set up at the Food Festival.
