Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L Murugan inaugurated JSS Institute Community Radio in Mysuru today. Speaking during the occasion the minister observed that Community radio has become popular in recent years and at present, there are around 329 operational Community Radio Stations broadcasting across the country, out of which 22 are in Karnataka.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">Emphasising the importance of Community Radio during the Covid Pandemic, Dr. Murugan informed that when the Prime Minister announced the Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, it is the Community Radio Station which is diligently making poor people aware of such schemes.</span><br />
