Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu will formally inaugurate the 35th National Games at the Greenfield stadium in Kariavattom on the outskirts of the capital Thiruvananthapuram today evening. Union Sports Minister Sarbanand Sonowal, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy,Leader of Opposition V S Achuthanandan and State Sports Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan will grace the occasion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given his best wishes to all the athletes participating in the 35th National Games. All India Radio will broadcast live commentary alternately in Hindi and English on the opening ceremony from 5.55 PM. The live commentary will be carried by all multi channel AIR stations on one of their primary channels . It can also be heard on Rajdhani and FM Rainbow in Delhi and on FM Gold in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata.
