<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani today visited the house of a young lady doctor Vandana Das at Kottayam, who was stabbed to death while on duty at the&nbsp; Government Taluk Hospital at Kottarakkara on the 10th of this month.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The minister consoled the parents of the doctor and paid floral tributes, where she was laid to rest.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Vandana Das was attacked with surgical scissors by a drug addict when he was brought to the hospital for medical examination by the police. The killing sparked massive protests by doctors, forcing the state government to introduce stringent measures to ensure the safety of health workers.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Ms Irani was accompanied by the Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan and other local BJP leaders.</span></p>
