Union Minister Smriti Irani says, India-US Mineral Security Partnership will accelerate the critical energy supply chain

Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani today said that India now has become the newest partner in the Mineral Security Partnership. She said that the partnership aims to accelerate the development of a diverse and sustainable critical energy mineral supply chain. Addressing the media in New Delhi, Ms. Irani highlighted the outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the United States in various areas including defence, cooperation in strategic technology, and partnership in renewal energy and critical mineral cooperation.<br />''<br />''She mentioned, during his visit, the Prime Minister has helped actualise the India-US New and Emerging Renewable Energy Technologies Action Platform. She expressed confidence that the platform will accelerate the cooperation in Green Hydrogen, offshore and onshore wind, and other emerging technologies. The Minister said, to complement the same ambition, India has announced the world's largest Green Hydrogen. <br />''<br />''Ms. Irani also emphasized that NASA and ISRO will develop a strategic framework for human space flight cooperation by the end of this year as well. The Minister informed that a joint Indo-US Quantum Coordination Mechanism will help facilitate collaboration between industry, academia, and government. She said the two million dollar grant programme for joint development and commercialization of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technologies was launched. Ms. Irani informed that Micron Technology Ink will also invest 825 million dollars to build a new semiconductor assembly and test facility in India. <br />
