Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurates launching ceremony of five vessels built at Cochin Shipyard

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal today inaugurated the launching ceremony of five vessels built at the Cochin Shipyard.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The vessels were  launched by five senior most women employees of the yard.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Three Floating Border Outposts for the Border Security Force and two Fully Electric Autonomous Ferries for the Norway based ASKO Maritime AS  were  launched today.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister said through the Maritime India Vision 2030, the government aims to make India a much sought after destination for ship building and ship repair.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Sarbananda Sonowal also inaugurated a new model room, Smriti, showcasing models of the major vessels built by the yard over the past five decades.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He  reviewed the yard's performance and visited its ship building and ship repair facilities. He also visited the International Ship Repair facility being set up by the Cochin Shipyard at the Wellington Island, nearby.</span><br />
