<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister AYUSH, & Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal has announced a major investment of more than 100 crore rupees to develop the AYUSH Healthcare sector in Nagaland.<br />''</span><br />''The investment includes 30 bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital at Kiphire, 10 bedded AYUSH hospitals each at Mokokchung, Nagaland University in Dimapur & Wokha, and a state-of-the-art Ayurvedic college at Longleng with an estimated cost of  70 crore rupees.<br />''<br />''He said this while inaugurating the Integrated AYUSH Hospital at Razha Chedema under Kohima District today, Sonowal said, Northeast has an immense potential to become the hub in the AYUSH sector.<br />''<br />''He said, Nagaland is no exception with tremendous potential be it topography and natural resources, which need to be tapped and explore in scientific manner by applying the traditional skill.<br />''<br />''He said with the rich knowledge of traditional medicine & natural resources available in the Northeast, it is important that the region seize this opportunity.<br />''<br />''Sonowal said AYUSH is getting the center stage by rendering its services through its products. He said, AYUSH along with modern medicines has played a vital role during the covid-19 pandemic.<br />''<br />''Asserting that today the Ayush products are accepted in the society, the Union Minister said, in the last seven years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the AYUSH industry through its products has created 18.2 billion dollars market in the globe. He believed that this is an industry that will create avenues for employment and income generation.<br />''<br />''The Union Minister, further added, our vision is to empower the rich Indian traditional medicinal practices – be it Ayurveda, Yoga, Unnani, Siddha, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy, Sowa Rigpa – with modern scientific validation for wider & popular usage by the people.<br />''On the occasion, Sonowal unveiled the monolith of Integrated Ayush Hospital at Razha Chedema in Kohima. The Integrated Ayush Hospital Razha project costing 9.17 crore rupees which were sanctioned in the 2018 measuring 3.50 acres.<br />''<br />''The Union Minister also virtually laid the foundation stone for Integrated Ayush Hospital at Tuli, Mokokchung, Nagaland University Medziphema Dimapur, and Kiphire.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, Union Minister Sonowal addressing media persons after the programme,  said, the announcement on setting of Ayush hospitals and college in the Nagaland will be taken up soon once the Nagaland government submit the proposals.<br />''<br />''He expressed hope that the people of the state especially the neighbouring villages will avail the facilities provided in the newly Integrated AYUSH Hospital at Chedema.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given top priority to the speedy growth of the Northeast region. Sonowal said, the Prime Minister has set a clear target for the people of the country to become a self-reliant nation. To this, the Union Minister appealed to the people of Nagaland to make Atmanirbhar Nagaland and believed that the people of the state will work towards fulfilling the dream of self-reliant nation.</span><br />
