<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Railways, Raosaheb Danve inaugurated a slew of passenger amenities spread across Mumbai's suburban railway network, including the modern and innovative POD Concept Retiring Rooms at Mumbai Central station, Railway Public Grievance Office at Churchgate, and the Integrated Surveillance System on Western Railway route. Besides, Foot-over-Bridges, toilet blocks, escalators, and home platform for Ambernath and Kopar railway stations, he also launched a coach restaurant and waiting hall at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.<br />'' <br />'' Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Danve said, these amenities will enhance passenger experience and aid security of the network. The minister said, PODs will provide a modern, affordable and hygienic experience to those looking for a short stay in the city. The first-of-its-kind pod hotel will offer a comfortable bed, small locker, mirror, free Wifi, and reading lights. Talking about the coach restaurant, he said the restaurant, with its uniqueness, will help in generating additional revenue for the Railways.  <br />'' <br />''<br />''Also present on the occasion, Leader of Opposition in the state assembly, Devendra Fadnavis said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision is transforming railways into a modern and accessible service. Stating that cleanliness has become a mantra for railways, Mr. Fadnavis said, railway facilities are being renovated on the lines of airports to enhance passenger experience. He further requested Mr. Danve to revive the proposed elevated corridor projects planned between Churchgate and Virar on Western Railway and CSMT and Panvel stations on Central Railway to boost carrying capacity.</span><br />
