Union Minister Rameswar Teli visits Bhaderwah town of Doda district as part of govt's Public Outreach Programme for J&K

As part of Union Government's Public Outreach Programme for Jammu and Kashmir, the Union MoS for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Labour & Employment, Rameswar Teli today visited Bhaderwah town of Doda district on the 2nd day of his two-day tour of the district. AIR Jammu Correspondent reports that the Minister presided over the function organised under the theme "Azaadi ka Amrut Mahotsav" to commemorate 75 year of India's independence at the auditorium of University Campus. On this occasion, he felicitated 75 eminent personalities from various fields which includes Artists, Corona warriors, Literary persons, Progressive Farmer's, Budding Sports persons, meritorious students, besides Martyrs and Corona warriors who have attained martyrdom in the line of duty. A scintillating cultural programs on patriotic theme was also showcased by school children and J&K Academy of Art Culture & Languages. The Minister said, Central Government is working in tandem for the overall development of J&K. He said, the Union Territory has special place in the heart of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he is very keen to pace up the developmental tempo of J&K. He further said that in the past seven years his ministry has initiated series of programs which are aimed to accelerate developmental process related to individual benefit oriented schemes.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">The Union Minister informed that under Ujjwala phase I, around 12 lakh LPG connections have been sanctioned in favour of women of BPL families. Besides oil companies have been directed to ensure that no one is left under the second phase. Mr Teli also said that the ministry has also taken series of steps to improve the health facilities in J&K for which the department is going to upgrade ESIC hospital at Jammu from 50 beds to 100 beds. In addition to this construction, ESIC hospital at Ompura at an estimated cost of 160 Crore rupees has also been approved and sanctioned which is going to benefit Budgam and Srinagar district also. The Union Minister futher said that Labour & Employment department has started registration of unorganised workers on e-shram portal and along the registration the beneficiaries are also going to have 2 lakh rupees insurance cover free of cost. The ministry has also started Atal Bimit Kalyan Yojana for the youth who have lost their jobs during Covid 19 Pandemic.</span><br />
