<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale has urged citizens not to crowd Chaitya Bhoomi on Sunday, which marks the 64th death anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Every year, lakhs of people converge at Dr. Ambedkar's resting place, Chaitya Bhoomi in Dadar to mark the Mahaparinirvan Diwas.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a statement issued today, Mr. Athawale, who is also the Chief of RPI(A), said people must pay their respects from home and not rush to the grounds as the coronavirus pandemic is far from over. He said it is important to avoid crowds and people must pay floral tributes and prayers before the photograph or idol, installed at home.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As Mumbai battles to break the transmission of coronavirus, the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai has also made the same appeal. Mumbai' civic chief  Iqbal Singh Chahal has urged the people to pay homage to Dr Ambedkar from their homes as a precautionary measure against coronavirus and considering the possibility of the second wave of infection. <br />''<br />''Stating that the threat is not over yet, Mr. Chahal said all arrangements have been made for the LIVE streaming of the programme on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Doordarshan's Sahyadri channel. He said a helicopter will shower flowers on Chaityabhoomi as a mark of respect. He also made an appeal to citizens not to visit 'Global Pagoda' at Gorai as it will be kept shut till Monday. </span><br />
