Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya today held a review meeting on the progress of revival of five&nbsp; Fertilizers plants through video conference. They include Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited- HURL located at Gorakhpur, Barauni and Sindri, Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited – RFCL and Talcher Fertilizers Limited (TFL). <br />''<br />''Senior officers who are looking after the revival of these fertilizer plants also attended the meeting. While reviewing the physical and financial progress of these plants, Mr Mandaviya directed the concerned authority to&nbsp; take all possible steps for early completion of the projects. During the meeting, it was informed that the RFCL has already achieved 99.53 per cent&nbsp; of physical progress and there has been some delay in the completion of small component of physical work due to COVID-19. It is expected that urea production will commence by the end of September this year in this plant.<br />''<br />''The Minister was also told that Gorakhpur, Sindri and Barauni fertilizer plants will be completed before May 2021. He was informed that the&nbsp; currently Pre-project activities are in progress in the Talcher Fertilizer Plants in Odisha.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Centre&nbsp; had announced New Investment Policy (NIP), 2012 to facilitate fresh investment in urea sector and to make India self-sufficient in the urea sector.&nbsp; Under the policy, the government is reviving these&nbsp; closed fertilizer plants.</span><br />
