Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurates and lays foundation stones for 38 National Highway projects worth nearly seven thousand crore rupees in Uttarakhand

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">In Uttarakhand, Union Road, Transport, and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 38 road projects worth more than 6,900 crore rupees in Champawat and Haridwar districts today. The schemes inaugurated by Mr. Gadkari include the two and a half kilometer long Dudhadhari elevated flyover in the Haridwar district. With the commencement of traffic movement on this flyover, the commuters will get relief from traffic congestion in the city. On the occasion, the Minister said, the Central Government has approved an amount of 1,40,000 crore rupees for the construction of better roads in Uttarakhand. He added, this amount will be increased to 2 lakh crore rupees by the end of this year. He further said that all the National Highways to be built in Uttarakhand will be of international standards. On this occasion, the Union Minister also made various announcements for the state.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The Union Minister stated that until the year 2014, the state had national highways totaling 2,517 kilometers in length, which has now increased to 3,608 kilometers.</span></p>
