Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Kapil Patil today emphasised on information dissemination of different Gram Panchayat Schemes to the grassroot level. He was addressing at the National-Level Orientation Workshop on People's Plan Campaign 'Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas' for North Eastern States in Guwahati.<br />''<br />''The Minister said that the Centre has prepared guidelines for development of rural areas and lack of information about the Panchayati Raj schemes is the main hindrance for development. Gram Panchyat is working for the welfare of rural people and most of them are not aware about the welfare schemes, he added.<br />''<br />''Mr Patil said that we need to take all information about Panchayat schemes to the rural people and proper information would also eliminate corrupt practices, if any.<br />''<br />''The Minister said, through the People's Plan Campaign, skill development and performance level of the Panchayats has improved and its benefits are reaching to the grassroot level. He said that women in Northeastern states are reaping the benefits of Panchayati Raj through Self-Help Groups.<br />''<br />''He further said, the Panchayati Raj Ministry is implementing the People's Plan Campaign since three years and from 2nd October 2020 to 31st January 2021 around 4,000 Block Panchayat Development Plans and around 300 District Panchayat Development Plans with almost 1.56 lakh Gram Panchayat Development Plans were prepared.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">Mr Patil urged the State Governments to encourage women's participation in Gram Sabha so that they can highlight their problems and redress the grievances.</span><br />
