Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Kalraj Mishra has lauded NDA Government's achievements in two years. Addressing a Vikas Parv press conference in Lucknow today, he said, when the NDA government took the reigns in May 2014, the country was in very bad shape in almost all spheres. He said, in its first two years, the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not only turned it around but also established India as such a major power that world ?has begun to take note of it. Talking to media, Mr Mishra said, his government is committed for the welfare of every downtrodden, SC/ ST, women, poor, backwards and minorities. Talking about Mudra Yojna, he said, government has taken it with seriousness as reports are coming that some banks are refusing to grant loans under this scheme to poor and SC/STs on apprehensions of its non payment. He said, all the money given to the beneficiary under Mudra Yojna is totally government money so if it becomes NPA, it is for the government to bear. <br/><br/>Mr Mishra said, under Jandhan Yojna, a total of three crore twenty lakh accounts were opened in UP alone where people deposited around 5,878 crore rupees in these accounts. He said, it was NDA government which was so sensitive towards plight of farmers that it reduced the margin from fifty to thirty three percent to award compensation of crop loss to them. He said, this government when on one hand talks about digital India, it also talks about rural India as it is the very first time that such a huge budget allocation has been made for the farmers by it.
