Union Minister K J Alphons today visited Nilakkal in Sabarimala to assess and review the situation. Addressing the media after the visit the Minister alleged that the state government has turned Sabarimala into a battlefield. <br />''<br />''<br />''The minister also said that the centre allotted Rs 100 crore for the infrastructure development in Sabarimala but the Devaswom Board and the government did not carry out any work. <br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, a large number of BJP and RSS workers protested outside the official residence of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan against the detention of over 30 persons at Sabarimala Temple yesterday. Simultaneous protests were also held at various places across the state. <br />''<br />''<br />''Many people were taken into preventive custody at the Sabarimala Temple late Sunday night after fresh protests broke out at Nadapanthal area in Sannidhanam. Due to the early incidents of violence at the shrine, the police had imposed strict restrictions for devotees at Sannidhanam. <br />''<br />''<br />''They were not allowed to stay back in the night. In this hundred of devotees started agitating against the police restrictions.
