Minister of Development of North-East Region, Dr Jitendra Singh today inaugurated a two-day International Conference on Unani Medicine with theme Integration of Unani System of Medicine in Mainstream Healthcare as part of Unani Day Celebration in New Delhi. Unani Day is celebrated on 11th February every year to mark the birth anniversary of Haqim Ajmal Khan. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said, Unani medicine is distinct feature of India's composite culture and significance of it in Indian sub-continent is more important than ever before.<br/><br/> He said, it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to setup a separate Ayush Ministry to promote alternative medicine in the country which will gain momentum in times to come. The conference aimed at promoting integration of Unani Medicine in mainstream healthcare across the globe.<br/><br/><br/><br/>
