Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Dr Harshvardhan on Monday said, there is a strong need to ensure that super energy efficiency technology and cooling system is introduced to combat global warming. <br />'' The Minister was speaking at the World Ozone Day function organised by the Ozone cell of the Ministry in New Delhi. <br />'' On the deteriorating condition of the Ozone layer, Dr Harshvardhan said, people should perform green good deeds and get rid of ozone depleting substances to save and conserve environment. <br />'' He said, the people should be cautious of the harmful consequences of gases, used in Air conditioners and refrigerators, on ozone layer and make others aware about this. <br />'' The Minister also said, efforts are being made to provide thermal comfort to every citizen during extreme weather conditions.<br />'' The International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer is observed on 16th September every year to spread awareness of the depletion of the Ozone Layer and search for solutions to preserve it.<br />'' <br />
