Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today alleged that Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi is making hue and cry over his disqualification and considering himself above the rule of law. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Mr. Shekhawat said, it is shameful that Mr. Gandhi is so immersed in ego and 'pride' that he didn't tender an apology even when given an opportunity by the Court. He said the kind of comments that were made after the decision of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha has shown their arrogance. The minister said, such people who consider themselves above the system are certainly like a threat to democracy.<br />'' &nbsp; <br />'' Shekhawat also alleged that Rahul Gandhi insulted the great patriot Vir Savarkar by his remarks and hurt the sentiments of people who take inspiration from this freedom fighter and his sacrifices. <br />'' Criticizing Mr. Gandhi over is remarks on democracy in UK, the Minister said if Rahul Gandhi committed the mistake once, the nation would have forgiven him, but his constant committing of such mistakes is a display of his disrespect towards the people.<br />'' &nbsp; <br />'' The Minister said such remarks not only insulted the constitution but also insulted the democratic system of the country.<br />'' &nbsp;<br />
