<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The 2nd meeting of G20 Tourism working group began at Siliguri this morning. 130 delegates and representatives are participating in this meeting. All the guests were welcomed by the Union Tourism Secretary Arvind Singh. The entire team of guests were then taken to Kurseoung to visit Mockaibari Tea Estate where they were shown various aspects of tea processing. A session was held there on "adventure tourism as a vehicle for achieving sustainable development goals". It was addressed by Sri G Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and Development of North Eastern Region. He attached special emphasis to encouraging adventure tourism in India by virtue of its geographical diversity. The minister said, the rich geographical heritage of various states of this country enables us to grab big opportunities of adventure tourism. He said India possesses 70% of mighty Himalaya, over 7000 KM of coastline, 7 major rivers, 70000 square Kilometers of sandy desert and 700 forest sanctuaries, all of which provide ample opportunity for a host of various adventure tourism activities in India.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Sri Harshbardhan Shringla, the G20 Chief Coordinator welcomed the delegate saying that Green Tourism and Green Development are going to be the main focus of this G20 2nd tourism working group meet. Sustainability, he said, is the main focus at this hour and discussion will be on this issue in all the deliberation. Delegates from all the G20 member countries, 9 invitee countries and 9 international organizations are participating in this three-day meet which is the 200th meeting of G20 under India's Presidency so far.&nbsp;</span></p>
