Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare asks young medicos to help improve condition of public health care system

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda has called upon the young medicos to help improve the condition of public health care system in the country. The youth coming into the noble profession should resolve to serve the poor and needy patients especially in the rural parts as the 'Service to the Man is Service to the God', he said. He was speaking at the Seventh Convocation Ceremony of the Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences at Savangi (Meghe) in Wardha district today.<br/><br/>The Minister further said that the Union Government has decided to commence eleven institutions on the lines of the reputed All India Institute of Medical Sciences in the national capital with a view to expand the scope and quality of medical services in different parts of the country. Out of these six institutions have been set up so far and the one proposed in Nagpur would start functioning within a span of two years, he added. <br/><br/>Around 620 medical students were awarded graduate and post-graduate degrees and diplomas at this juncture.
